Elo+Chess Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

Welcome to Elo+Chess. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Elo+Chess platform, website, reports, analytics, APIs, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). The primary website for the Services is currently operated through elopluschess.com and related domains.

Elo+Chess is operated by the Elo+Chess platform team and affiliated entities, with the intention of transitioning operations to a future business entity, which may include Connected Rooks and/or related companies.

By creating an account, accessing the Services, or using any portion of the platform, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.

1. Beta Service Notice

Elo+Chess is currently in active beta development.

The Services are provided on an experimental and evolving basis. Features, functionality, APIs, pricing, availability, analytics, reports, scoring systems, visualizations, recommendations, integrations, and data sources may change frequently, be incomplete, contain inaccuracies, or become unavailable without notice.

During the beta period:

  • access may be free of charge;
  • report generation speed and availability may vary;
  • daily usage or report limits may be introduced or modified at any time;
  • integrations with third-party services may break or become unavailable;
  • data may be reset, recalculated, modified, or deleted;
  • some functionality may be unstable or experimental.

Early beta users may be eligible for future founding-member pricing, discounts, or other early-access benefits at our discretion.

2. Eligibility

By using the Services, you represent that:

  • you are at least 18 years old; or
  • you are using the Services with the knowledge and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Services complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

3. Accounts

You may create an Elo+Chess account using:

  • a username and password;
  • an email address (optional during beta);
  • linked chess platform usernames;
  • or other authentication methods that may be introduced in the future.

You are responsible for:

  • maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials;
  • all activity occurring under your account;
  • keeping your account information accurate.

Email addresses are optional during beta. However, accounts without a verified email address may not be recoverable if passwords are forgotten or access is lost.

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts at our discretion, including for abuse, excessive automated usage, attempts to interfere with the Services, or violations of these Terms.

4. Passwords and Security

Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing and security techniques. However, no online platform can guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for:

  • choosing strong passwords;
  • protecting your credentials;
  • notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access.

We strongly recommend that users avoid reusing passwords across multiple services.
